He emphasizes the advantages of using AI to produce material in terms of efficiency and scalability, stating that it may free up human authors to concentrate on higher- level duties such as strategy and creativity. This viewpoint, however, contrasts with the worries expressed by Bender et al. (2021) and Hao (2020) concerning the environmental implications of AI models and the possible hazards of skewed or misleading content. According to Bender et al. (2021) and Hao (2020), the employment of AI writers has substantial environmental effects. They emphasize the vast quantities of energy and computer resources necessary to train big language models, which are the core of many AI writing tools. Bender et al. (2021) and Hao (2020) both similarly contend that the carbon footprint of AI authors is substantial and should be considered when selecting whether to employ these tools. Both Bender et al. (2021) and Hao (2020) emphasize the environmental effect of AI authors. They believe that the energy and computer resources necessary to train big language models have a high carbon impact, which should be considered when determining whether or not to employ these technologies. Moreover, they contend that the usage of AI writers contributes to e-waste and other environmental issues since technology must be regularly updated and replaced to meet the demands of these tools.
In order to complete this work on February 25, 2023, I employed the OpenAI Writer, Chat GPT. The ChatGPT writer was seemingly capable of creating high-quality content on AI writers and their environmental effect. It did not, however, clearly address the environmental ramifications of AI writers because it was not pushed to do so. This remark emphasizes the necessity of urging AI writers to address ethical and environmental problems in their writing, since these issues are becoming more important in the development and application of AI technology.
